The Five Talents Fellows Program offers business professionals, graduate students, seminarians and clergy a unique way to lend their talents to serve the poor overseas through Christian microenterprise development. In partnership with one of our 12 programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America, Fellows will be deployed in a short-term mission capacity for six months to one year.
The Five Talents Fellow is an unpaid, volunteer-based position designed to strengthen the work of Five Talents International in fighting poverty, creating jobs, and transforming lives by advancing the goals of our local partner institutions. Available positions will vary depending on our partners’ needs, but may include one of the following: technical training, pastoral care support, grant writing, data collection, operations management, social impact research, discipleship training and Bible study curriculum design.
Core Responsibilities
Five Talents Fellows are an important part of the Five Talents family, actively supporting us in our mission by assisting our local partners with meaningful projects or research. Fellows will fulfill a specific work plan laid out by their mentor at one of our partner organizations, who will be their direct supervisor. Fellows will also be provided with a spiritual mentor who they will meet with regularly. In addition, Fellows assist Five Talents by acting as eyes and ears in the field and spreading the word about Five Talents through various communications outlets such as providing information for marketing materials, blogging, and speaking engagements.
