Sunday School Curriculum and Marketing Plan Volunteer
Objectives:
- To review 4-week Sunday School curriculum and rewrite Chapter 2 using new Sunday School material already drafted.
- To determine if adding other materials would complement the curriculum. (i.e. DVD, worksheets, etc).
- To establish a “hook” for gifts to Five Talents at the end of the curriculum.
- To create a marketing plan for delivery and follow-up to churches promoting the Five Talents brand and raise funds.
- To potentially implement the marketing plan.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with Sunday School curriculum.
- Creative.
- Has some marketing experience.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Great for a college internship for mature individual.
- Reports to Director of Communications.
Volunteer Social Networking Advocate
Objectives:
- To promote Five Talents through social networking sites, blogs, Twitter, etc.
- Spread the word with your friends and networks. Invite your followers and friends to connect with Five Talents through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
- Work with the Director of Communications to receive notice of new press releases, photos and videos that can be pushed out to blogs and other online tools.
- Research potential trends and products in social networking for non-profits and identify those Five Talents might use to raise awareness and funding.
Qualifications:
- Self-starter.
- Currently active with an established presence on social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.) with a desire to connect friends with the cause and work of Five Talents.
- Creative.
- Commit to be a volunteer advocate on a quarterly basis.
- Reports to Director of Communications.
Church Research Volunteer
Objectives:
- Compile a list of all Episcopal/Anglican churches, dioceses (potentially other churches) that are involved in mission to the poor, give to KIVA or the Millennium Development Goals.
- Conduct online research to generate this list.
- Assist President with follow-ups to those on the list using e-mail, snail mail and phone calls.
- Contact all churches and dioceses who support Five Talents and ask them to add a link to our Web site on their Missions page.
Qualifications:
- Self-starter.
- Excellent Web research skills and writing skills.
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Experience in customer service.
- Reports to Executive Assistant.
Volunteer Direct Mail Writer
We mail letters to our supporters on a regular basis featuring one of our programs. We’re looking for a copy writer to help craft this message. The entrepreneur story as well as program and country context would be provided.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing skills.
- Creative.
- Has some marketing experience.
- Familiar with direct mail writing styles.
- Reports to Director of Communications.
Video Editor
We have raw video taken in the field during program visits. We're looking for someone skilled in video editing who could put together short two to five-minute videos, including voice overs, with footage we would provide.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing skills.
- Creative.
- Skilled in video editing software.
- Ability to work independently as well as receive direction.
- Reports to Director of Communications.
