Children of Microfinance
During the next five weeks, we’ll be sharing stories from the children of Five Talents’ entrepreneurs. You’ll meet Akot from Sudan – a 10-year-old boy who is now attending school, thanks to the income from his mom’s food business in Lietnhom. Esther, who lives in Jakarta, Indonesia, is all smiles as she talks about her mom’s business. Why? Because now she gets to drink milk everyday! And, Maria from Kasubi, Uganda, now attends school with confidence – dressed in her school uniform – because of the income from her mom’s vegetable stand. Click here to learn more.

in 2008 Index of Global Philanthropy
The 2008 Index of Global Philanthropy features Five Talents International in its first-ever nationwide survey of religious giving to help poor nations abroad. This survey was conducted by the Hudson Institute Center for Global Prosperity. The third annual publication will be released Monday, May 12. Click here to read full story.

Five Talents has been selected as a featured charity in the 2007-08 Catalogue for Philanthropy. Sixty-eight nonprofits were chosen from a competitive field of more than 250 candidates this year by a review committee of 55 experienced grantmakers and members of local nonprofit organizations.
