Spring Gala to Salute Women Fighting Global Poverty

springgala2You've read about some incredible women who are using their God-given talents to help lift whole communities out of poverty.

Now you can meet one of them – at Five Talents' 2012 Spring Gala.

On Friday, April 20, at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD, Five Talents will host an inspirational evening event featuring the Ambassador of the Philippines Jose L. Cuisia, the Gala's Honorary Chair, and Euphemie Karerewa, a trainer who works for Five Talents' partner in Burundi, the Mothers' Union.

"We are happy that Ambassador Cuisia will serve as the event's honorary chair as we all come together to hear the latest from the front lines on the war against poverty," said Five Talents President and CEO Craig Cole.

Cocktails and a silent auction will begin at 7pm, followed by dinner and a program at 8pm. Coat and tie are required.

"The Spring Gala is a chance for Five Talents to highlight the remarkable transformation and hope that we and our partners are seeing in some of the most destitute places on the planet."

Five Talents currently works in 11 developing countries, promoting the formation of savings groups, making small loans and providing business skills training as a way to create jobs and help whole communities to move from poverty to self-sustainability.
