Vienna, Virginia — Can you imagine what life would be like if you were a girl born in South Sudan?

Join us to hear the personal stories of women and girls in Sudan and how they are changing their lives as well as the lives of their families and communities from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, at Busboys and Poets, 4251 South Campbell Ave. (Shirlington Village), Arlington, Va.

Five Talents’ Sudan program partners, Peter Macharia and Harun Mutuma, left South Sudan on Feb. 11 to come to the U.S. to receive an award for their work in Sudan. On March 6, you’ll have the chance to hear from them. You’ll be in awe of what they are doing and the ways women are being empowered through microfinance, savings groups, and literacy training.

Appetizers and drinks will be provided. The presentation will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by a question and answer session.

With all the news coming out of Sudan, we hope you'll be able to join us to learn about our work in this African country. But, we want you to do more than just consume information, so we'll also give you a tangible way to make a lasting impact on women around the world!

This event is free. Opportunities to financially support Five Talents and their work in Sudan will be available. RSVP by Thursday, March 3. Space is limited!
