Anne-Day McCabe Elected to Five Talents Board of Directors
Vienna, Virginia – Five Talents announces Anne-Day McCabe from Ashburn, Va., has been elected to the board of directors. McCabe is currently co-owner and vice president of CAM Private Wealth Services, a boutique financial planning and wealth management firm in Reston, Va. Her company works with affluent individuals and business owners to help preserve, grow, and transfer their wealth.
“As a female entrepreneur with a successful financial management business, a committed Christian and deep experience in Latin America, Ms. McCabe embodies Five Talents’ mission and values. We are delighted she has agreed to bring her talents and energy to the Five Talents board,” said Dr. April L. Young, Five Talents Board Chair and Senior Vice President and Managing Director, US, with MMV Financial.
McCabe first became involved with Five Talents in 2009. She has volunteered in a variety of roles including serving on the planning committee for Five Talents’ 10-year anniversary celebration and then again in 2010 for the Five Talents annual dinner event.
“I was immediately drawn to Five Talents, because it is a combination of everything that is important to me: spiritual development, finance and business; and ultimately helping people help themselves,” McCabe said. “As an economics major in college, I remember studying the concept of “microfinance” and being fascinated. So when I heard about Five Talents, I knew I was meant to be involved.”
A native of Atlanta, McCabe has been in the financial services industry for over nine years. Prior to co-founding CAM Private Wealth Services, she was a financial advisor at UBS and Ameriprise Financial. She holds a bachelors degree in Economics from George Mason University with a minor in Latin American Studies, and speaks fluent Spanish.
An extremely active citizen in the community, McCabe is a member of Success in the City, Financial Planning Association, and Capital Speakers Club. She is president of a local chapter of Business Networking International and sits on the Membership Council for the Tower Club. Anne lives in Ashburn with her husband, Harold.
Established in 1999, Five Talents International has provided funding for business training and thousands of loans, ranging from $50 to $300, in 14 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America. A majority of loan recipients are women. Five Talents’ ongoing work is supported by a staff based in Vienna, Va., and an office in London. Hundreds of volunteers across the United States and United Kingdom participate in the organization. For more information and to donate, visit www.FiveTalents.org.
