DRC, Aru Mothers' Union Coordinator

Grâce Maneka is a Program Coordinator with Five Talents’ partner programme in the Diocese of Aru, Democratic Republic of Congo. She chose to join the program after seeing how deeply women in her community were affected by illiteracy and poverty, and she is inspired by the transformation she witnesses in mothers, their families, and their churches through literacy and savings activities.

With 16 years of experience in community development, beginning as Secretary of the Mothers’ Union in Aru, Grâce has helped teach literacy and supported the formation of over 400 Savings Groups. She loves working on a collaborative team and has a strong passion for training, continually growing her own skills through Five Talents’ support. What she values most is introducing communities to the philosophy of saving and seeing how warmly the program is welcomed wherever it is introduced.
