Leadership

Josephine Kezakimana

Program Coordinator

Burundi Mothers' Union Country Coordinator

I chose to work for this program because I have a deep commitment to empowering women, families, and communities. I have worked with MU Burundi for many years and I have seen how this program transforms lives through practical support. Seeing empowered women become confident leaders and decision-makers who can support their families with dignity always inspires me. I spent 17 years supporting literacy, parenting, and Savings Group members as a trainer, and then I moved to the provincial level, where I support planning, coordination, reporting, and monitoring activities – so I understand both field implementation and program management.

The thing I love most about my work is seeing sustainable change in people’s lives. I’m excited to see more women becoming economically active throughout Saving Groups and more families prioritizing education and positive parenting. Those changes give me strong motivation to lead the program effectively at the provincial level.
